I just discovered your organization through a post on KevinMD.com. My organization is in the midst of Phase IV (!) of an EMR implementation. This morning I was musing about how little value to the patient I see with “Meaningful Use”. Without going into detail…an example of how patient records are held as “proprietary” and not shared. I recently had back surgery. My inpatient and outpatient x-rays were performed by 2 discrete organizations…the same Radiologist group interpreted both sets of films, in the same reading room, but could not use the “outside” films for comparison with each other because they are on 2 different PACS systems!
The 2 blog postings I had time to read this morning- and the user-friendly design of your contact page – raised my hopes that there are kindred spirits in healthcare who “get it”. Thank you and have a great day!
